Few art forms combine functional, ceremonial and decorative uses as elegantly as the fan. History shows that the earliest fan dates back at least 3000 years. They are frequently found in Asian art and can be found in museums throughout the world.
A delicate fan texture is showcased on these beautiful 1/2″ sterling buttons. All my buttons can be purchased in groups of five. They are all handmade using various textures and patterns and formed into a gentle concave dome. I offer them oxidized or with a shiny polish. They are made using .935 argentium sterling silver. These are very popular and are used frequently, but not limited to, wrapped bracelets. Most are made with a 1.9mm hole which works great with 1.5mm leather cord. For the larger cords, I drill 3.0mm holes. Please select the hole size when checking out.
I take great care in finishing not only the front, but the back of each button. They are carefully handcrafted to give you a quality piece that your customers will love. Because each button is handmade, there may be variations in what you see photographed – but the differences will be minimal.
