It’s a new year and time to freshen things up with a new website and a new blog. I’ve been creating art jewelry in one form or another for about 20 years now. Though some of you may know me I figured I introduce myself with my first blog post.
I began beading around 1995 or so. I enjoyed making crocheted bracelets though I found the learning difficult as it was taught in two different classes. I found myself almost destroying the work I had done in the first class as my thread was fraying very badly. I knew there had to be a better way. I wanted to help others with the process of learning this technique so I made a dvd called Crocheted Bracelets. That became the name of my first website. In 1998 I began taking metalsmithing classes and in 2003 I started working with polymer clay. My goal was always to combine whatever knowledge I gained using other media with metal. I am fortunate to have a home studio here in Massachusetts so I can continue my journey.
Over the years I’ve received a lot of support from my family, friends and followers for which I am very grateful for. That support allows me to continue to work with something that brings me joy and has helped me grow as a person and as an artist.
